- This is a book about the adventurous life of a Baby Boomer, born in 1946. It is an autobiographical works, and spans over many continents with numerous stories including tales of a stewardess, hippy life in Californias’ Marin County, humanitarian work in Nepal, and an unassisted home birth in Bangkok. Special features include, Life at sea in her small family’s own boat, Ashram living with Osho Rajneesh in India, and a three year sentence in a woman’s prison in Australia. Atta’s movements seem to be guided by whispers that come to her in dreams, dances, and special moments in real life as it happens. The stories depict a blessed and carefree life in a special period of time, when we see the arrival of the Beatles, Rock and Roll, Flower Power, and a new breed of travellers out to see the unguarded world. Much of the action takes place in Bali, Indonesia where Atta has made her home for at least forty years. Surely it will appeal to like minded travellers who have been there, the ones who didn’t go, as well as to the bright young people who still want to go….. to the big wide world out there.
