- Answers to questions from seekers in Baroda (now called Vadodara, in Gujarat), dates unknown.
- notes
- Title is part of a Sanskrit chant/prayer, from the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, that goes:
- असतो मा साद गमय, तमसो मा ज्योतिर् गमय, मृत्योर मा अमृतम् गमय
- (Asato Ma Sad Gamaya, Tamaso Ma Jyotir Gamaya, Mrityor Ma Amritam Gamaya)
- Lead us from ignorance to truth, Lead us from darkness to light, Lead us from death to deathlessness.
- In this respect, Tamso can be said to be a companion volume to Asato Ma Sadgamaya (असतो मा सद्गमय) and Mrityorma Amritam Gamaya (मृत्योर्मा अमृतं गमय), though they may be eras apart. It exists in audio form and as a partial e-book (the first six chapters). See discussion for a TOC, ie audio discourse titles.
- time period of Osho's original talks/writings
- ≤ 1970 : timeline
- number of discourses/chapters
