- Osho's three series of Mahavir Vani discourses were given at Patkar Hall in Mumbai, in three successive years in the early 70's, at the time of Paryushan, a big annual Jain festival. These discourses were apparently published as three 18-chapter books in 1976 and 1977.
- In 1988, they were re-grouped into two volumes of 27 discourses each, and seem to have kept to that format ever since.
