Bio-Energetics (group)

Bio-Energetics was a Pune One body-psychotherapy group. The Community to Provoke God brochure gave this as a brief description:

Bio-energetics is a growth approach based in the knowledge that emotions are caught up in the physical body and can be released by working directly on the body. Incorporating the work of the western therapists Reich, Lowen and Pietrakos [sic], the group uses exercises, breathing and un-structured activities to open the flow of the life force in the body.

According to the groups timeline chart in The Sound of Running Water, Bio-Energetics was offered from Jan to Nov 1977.

Lowen and Pierrakos were both disciples of Wilhelm Reich who created their own branches of his work. See also Anatta, a group based on a different branch of Reich's work.
