Letter written on 15 Dec 1962
This is one of hundreds of letters Osho wrote to Ma Anandmayee, then known as Madan Kunwar Parekh. It was written on 15th December 1962 from Chhatarpur (MP).
The letterhead reads (in Devanagari):
- Acharya Rajneesh [in a large, messy font to the right of and above the rest below]
- Darshan Vibhag [Department of Philosophy]
- Mahakoshal Kala Mahavidyalaya [Mahakoshal Arts University]
- 115, Napier Town
- Jabalpur (M.P.)
Osho's salutation in this letter is a fairly typical "प्रिय मां", Priya Maan, Dear Mom. There are a few of the hand-written marks that have been observed in other letters: black and red tick marks and a mirror-image number in the bottom right corner, actually two numbers, one unreadable and crossed out, the other 157.
The letter has been published, in Bhavna Ke Bhojpatron Par Osho (भावना के भोजपत्रों पर ओशो) (2002 Diamond edition, p 184). We are awaiting a transcription and translation.
