For the Post Office, Osho used his full name as above. In addressing him personally, he wrote "Poojya Deriya Ji" or "Shraddheya Deriya Ji" (venerable, honoured), only later using the more familiar "Priya Deriya Ji" (dear, beloved), but all following his sometime custom of addressing male friends by their last names. From 1957 to 1963, Osho wrote many letters to Babulal Ji Deriya, of Babai (MP), India. The wiki has images of quite a few of them. Most are written on postcards. See the Letters section of Osho's manuscripts for links to all the letters we have images of.

This letter is dated 23rd September 1957 and sent from Raipur (CG), where Osho had just been given a post in Sanskrit College. It is not known to have been previously published but is said to be in line to be published eventually in a larger edition of Prem Ke Swar (प्रेम के स्वर) (as letter #56). In it, Osho says the mind was very sad as moments of independence were apparently coming to an end. But "one has to look at the path of the moment", he says. It is a chatty letter too, he wants to stay in touch, mentions he will be back in Jabalpur Oct 5-6.
