About "In 1993, the company name changed to New Earth Records, Inc. due to a copyright dispute in Germany", wouldn't this more likely have been a trademark issue? A copyright issue might have involved their use of the swan image in their logo say, but for that they could just change their logo. If "copyright" is what they called it, maybe they can clarify.
