About the info being scant, a wide variety of transliterations for search terms found no evidence at all of a book's ever having existed, save in the predecessor page here in the wiki. As it happens, that page's key search term, the ISBN, turned up confirmatory pages at a "usually reliable source." Why didn't those pages come up before? Because the usually reliable source had subtly altered the Devanagari title. Anyway, all is well now.
There are now two sources for the discourse dates for ''Koplen'', [[Doc X (source document)|"Doc X"]] and the ebook at Osho World. Doc X indicates only a range of dates, Jul 31, 1986 to Aug 9, while OW is much more specific. The last chapter in OW comes after Aug 9. Otherwise they agree, so the OW info will be reproduced below.

The only source for the discourse dates is "Doc X," and as they fit into a gap in the 1986 schedule, it seems reasonable to accept them at least provisionally. And the logic of Osho's speaking in Hindi when he first arrives back in Mumbai and few Western sannyasins are around seems fairly sound.
About the title, it is said that it derives from a song by Mehdi Hassan, reportedly one of Osho's favourite singers. It relates to coming back to India. The lines with the title in it go:

There are now two sources for the discourse dates for Koplen, "Doc X" and the ebook at Osho World. Doc X indicates only a range of dates, Jul 31, 1986 to Aug 9, while OW is much more specific. The last chapter in OW comes after Aug 9. Otherwise they agree, so the OW info will be reproduced below.

About the title, it is said that it derives from a song by Mehdi Hassan, reportedly one of Osho's favourite singers. It relates to coming back to India. The lines with the title in it go:

कोंपलें फिर फूट आईं शाख़ पर कहना उसे
वो न समझा है न समझेगा मगर कहना उसे
(konpalen phir phoot aayeen, shaakh par, kahnaa use
woh na samjha hai, na samjhega, magar kahnaa use)
(Tell her/him fresh buds are sprouting again on the branches.
S/he has not understood and will not understand, but tell her/him anyway.)
("konpalen" being an alternative transliteration of "koplen")
These lines from Mehdi Hassan's song provide a glimpse of a more personal resonance with Osho's experience regarding a theme that seems to connect all three of his World Tour Hindi books. (The other two are Phir Patton Ki Panjeb Baji (फिर पत्तों की पांजेब बजी) and Phir Amrit Ki Boond Padi (फिर अमरित की बूंद पड़ी) (11 talks)). All three of these books have the word "Phir" in the title, meaning among other things, "again", and they are Osho's only titles to use this word, as if underlining the specialness of coming back to this place, the land of India My Love, Mera Swarnim Bharat (मेरा स्वर्णिम भारत) and Bharat Ek Sanatan Yatra (भारत एक सनातन यात्रा). -- added doofus-9 23:15, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
