- जवान आदमी भविष्य की तरफ देखता है। और जो कौम भविष्य की तरफ देखती है वह जवान होती है। जो अतीत की तरफ, पीछे की तरफ देखती है, वह बूढ़ी हो जाती है। यह हमारा मुल्क सैकड़ों वर्षों से पीछे की तरफ देखने का आदी रहा है। हम सदा ही पीछे की तरफ देखते हैं; जैसे भविष्य है ही नहीं, जैसे कल होने वाला नहीं है। जो बीत गया कल है वही सब-कुछ है। यह जो हमारी दृष्टि है यह हमें बूढ़ा बना देती है।
