Under Construction Under Construction

Jyoti Shikha and Yukrand were two magazines published by Osho's people in the late 60s and early 70s to help Osho's work. Mainly they published his words but part of their brief was informing their readers about his upcoming visits to wherever around India, mainly in the north and middle, but occasionally as far south as Madras. Sw Satya Anuragi has sent images of relevant pages with info on lots of previously unknown dates to fill in some of the gaps in the Timeline.

Note that occasionally dates may be slightly out of line with previously known events, for example, the camp at Matheran in Mar 1969 is missing the opening night. Most such cases will be deemed as errors, subsequent changes or missing info, but some may lead to corrections.

Some of the places that Osho visited in those days will be unfamiliar to most Western readers. Some were so small that the phone numbers given for contact people had only two digits. (Jabalpur in those days had four-digit phone numbers by way of comparison, Pune five and Mumbai and Delhi six.)

As this page is under construction, it will be somewhat sketchy for a while. Images for now are not sourced, since the dates are clear without that. Chronological order shall prevail. As some events appear in more than one notice, sometimes with different info, each source image will be noted for each event. "JJK" = Jeevan Jagriti Kendra, Osho's earliest org, with active members in many cities around India. Thumbnails of the source images appear in the gallery at page bottom.
