- "मनुष्य के मन पर शब्दों का भार है; और शब्दों का भार ही उसकी मानसिक गुलामी भी है। और जब तक शब्दों की दीवालों को तोड़ने में कोई समर्थ न हो, तब तक वह सत्य को भी न जान सकेगा, न आनंद को, न आत्मा को। सत्य की खोज में--और सत्य की खोज ही जीवन की खोज है--स्वतंत्रता सबसे पहली शर्त है। जिसका मन गुलाम है, वह और कहीं भला पहुंच जाए, परमात्मा तक पहुंचने की उसकी कोई संभावना नहीं है। जिन्होंने अपने चित्त को सारे बंधनों से स्वतंत्र किया है, केवल वे ही आत्माएं स्वयं को, सत्य को और सर्वात्मा को जानने में समर्थ हो पाती हैं।"
