समाधि या आत्मा की उपलब्धि का रास्ता बिलकुल ही वैसा है जैसे बगीचे में माली पौधे बोता है—बीज बोता है, सम्हालता है, खाद देता है, पानी देता है, सूरज की रोशनी की व्यवस्था करता है, सुरक्षा करता है उनकी कि उन्हें जंगली जानवर न चर जाएं, उन पर बाड़ बिठाल देता है, बागुड़ लगा देता है। फिर रोज-रोज उनकी प्रतीक्षा करता है कि वे बढ़ें, लंबी प्रतीक्षा के बाद उनमें फूल आते हैं।

जीवन-साधना भी एक बगीचे में फूल लाने से भिन्न नहीं है। इसे भी बीज बोने होंगे, बीज ध्यान के बोने होंगे। खाद और पानी और सूरज की रोशनी भी देनी होगी। यूं समझ लें: एक सम्यक आचार की, जिसकी तीन बातें मैंने कहीं, उसकी खाद देनी होगी। सम्यक भाव की जो मैंने तीन बातें कहीं, उसका पानी देना होगा। और कल मैं तीन बातें आपसे सम्यक विचार की कहने को हूं, उनकी रोशनी देनी होगी।
