For now not much more than a placeholder page for an event in March 1981 in London . . .
"The March Event" was what it was called, and for a short time it was the biggest thing to have happened in Osho's sannyas outside of India. It was a lavish extravaganza put on by the London Buddhafield, headed then by Ma Anand Poonam, and took place in a posh hotel on Regent Street, promoted all around London and attended by over 1000 sannyasins in their attention-getting sunrise colours and malas. It was covered by over thirty media organizations looking for dirt and sensation but finding nothing but celebration and workshops, led by the top group-leaders of the day (image).
