Tibetan Pulsing Healing was created by Sw Shantam Dheeraj. It had its time of greatest popularity and influence in late Pune Two and early Pune Three. Dheeraj introduced it there in 1988 and quickly attracted a lot of interest. It is said that he developed his ideas independently and only later had them validated -- along with himself -- by at least three leading Lamas of Tibetan Buddhism, Kalu Rinpoche, the Karmapa, and Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.

All the sites of surviving Tibetan Pulsing teachers and practitioners say that he came to Osho in 1988 but Sw Devakant in his book In the Eye of the Hurricane (p.193) says that he got a series of Tibetan sessions from Dheeraj that healed an intractable back problem in late 1984 at the Ranch, and that Dheeraj's system "came to him in the form of a teaching delivered to him in dreams by a Tibetan Master".

As Tibetan Pulsing is a healing modality, it is offered primarily as a one-on-one session with a practitioner, but Dheeraj used the great potential of groups to train other practitioners and build a client base. And these groups got huge, offering energy extravaganzas like the "Lightning Bowl" and more. And Tibetan offerings became ever more complex, with Dheeraj and cohort coming up with more and more developments people just had to learn, such as "New Mind". Later in the 90s, they discovered "Beeps", a kind of extraterrestrial bio-electrical parasite, that almost everyone would need some kind of special Tibetan treatment to be healed from.

The basic Tibetan Pulsing theoretical system posits twenty-four energy centres located in various places in the body. They say that illnesses are caused by blocks in the bio-electrical energy system housed by the body, whereby energy does not flow properly from one centre to another. These blocks are caused by emotional witholdings and suchlike. This kind of thing is not unusual in New-Age / alternative healing circles. Practitioners conduct a detailed eye examination to diagnose which energy centres most need attention, where exactly to work, where tension and energy is to be released, and so on.

Tibetan Pulsing became wildly popular in the early 90s, bringing in a lot of cash to the Resort, so much so that Dheeraj managed to parlay his way into a position in The Inner Circle. But his time there was short, ~1995-1997, when he was forced out and Tibetan fell out of favour in Pune. Today (2023ish) there are still a dozen or so websites featuring practitioners mostly around Europe. Dheeraj died in Italy in 1998.
