एक-एक शब्द बहुमूल्य है। उपनिषद फीके पड़ जाते हैं कबीर के सामने। वेद दयनीय मालूम पड़ने लगता है। कबीर बहुत अनूठे हैं। बेपढ़े-लिखे हैं, लेकिन जीवन के अनुभव से उन्होंने कुछ सार पा लिया है। और चूंकि वे पंडित नहीं हैं, इसलिए सार की बात संक्षिप्त में कह दी है। उसमें विस्तार नहीं है। बीज की तरफ उनके वचन हैं- -बीज-मंत्र की भांति।
